High-throughput screening (HTS) is a fundamental approach in drug discovery. It is a systematic and automated method that enables testing thousands or millions of compounds in a short time to find those with specific biological activities.

At Welab, we have deep expertise in developing HTS assays and have an extensive track record for performing HTS campaigns for different target types such as enzymes, GPCRs or ion channels and employing diverse methodologies such as radioligand binding, cell-based or enzymatic assays among others.

Our HTS capabilities relies on a diverse compound library and uses state-of-the-art robotics and microplate-based systems to perform the assays. This miniaturization allows us for the efficient use of reagents and compounds while increasing the number of experiments that can be conducted simultaneously making the whole process cost-effective.
