Cytotoxicity is defined as the quality of some products to be toxic to cells, altering their structure or functionality. The cytotoxicity caused by the new components is something to be evaluated at the beginning of the drug discovery phases.

The different screening methods offered allow us to determine if a compound can cause toxicity at this level. They allow us to rule out or understand possible mechanisms at early stages of development.
